Plans for September 2019

After discussion with my Professor, I have accepted an M.A. in Anthropology as a way to continue to work on my business, while learning new ways in which to study my business and validate the market through business anthropology.

Student Inc. Programme Highlights

The workshops were the most important part of the programme for me and my business as someone who has had no previous business experience. Student Inc. also provided great continuous support for any issues and concerns that may have risen whether in my personal life or the business which I believe are also crucial, since I could get advice on specific issues my business was facing.

Any previous entrepreneurship experience before you joined Student Inc.?

The only other business experience I have had was the Start-up Lab at UCC from January 2019 to April 2019.

What connections did you make on the programme?

Through CIT participants I was put in contact with the chairperson of the CIT Content Creator Society which I will be collaborating with in September 2019. I was also put in contact with a great mentor who has helped me refine my business plan, more specifically my revenue model.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of applying to Student Inc.?

I would tell them to invest their full attention to the programme and working on their business. There are not many opportunities like these to work on your business full time while having the support of mentors, staff and a grant which allows you to focus solely on the business!
